Author Guidline
1. General Information
Scolae: Journal of Pedagogy publishes original research articles in the field of education and pedagogy. Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
The journal follows a structured editorial workflow including submission, screening, peer review, revision, and final publication.
2. Manuscript Submission
Authors must submit manuscripts through the journal’s official online system. Before submission, authors are required to:
- Register an account in the journal system
- Ensure the manuscript follows the journal template
- Upload all required documents, including plagiarism report if available
- Confirm that the manuscript is original and not submitted elsewhere
3. Manuscript Structure and Formatting
The manuscript must follow the journal template strictly with the following structure:
Title
- Maximum 21 words
- Specific and reflects key variables or focus
- Written in uppercase using Times New Roman size 12
Author Information
- Full names without academic titles
- Institutional affiliation and address
- Email of corresponding author
Abstract (Indonesian and English)
- 150 to 200 words
- Single paragraph
- Includes objective, method, results, and conclusion
- No citations, abbreviations, or references
Keywords
- 3 to 5 keywords
- Specific and relevant
Main Sections
Introduction
Includes:
- Background of the study
- Relevant literature review
- Research gap and problem formulation
- Research objectives
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 references
- At least 70 percent from primary sources
- Preferably published within the last 10 years
Method
Must clearly describe:
- Research design
- Participants or sample
- Data collection techniques
- Data analysis methods
- Hypothesis testing for quantitative studies
Results and Discussion
- Present findings based on data
- Provide analysis aligned with theoretical framework
- Tables and figures must be numbered and labeled
- Interpretation should focus on answering research questions
Conclusion
- Clearly answers research objectives
- Based on findings, not repetition of discussion
Suggestions
- Provide recommendations or implications
- May include practical or policy suggestions
References
- Use APA 7th edition
- Recommended to use reference manager such as Mendeley
- Minimum 10 references with recent and relevant sources
4. Editorial and Review Process
The journal applies the following workflow:

5. Publication Fee

8. Use of Generative AI (Gen-AI) Policy
Scolae: Journal of Pedagogy adopts international standards regarding the responsible use of Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Grammarly AI, and similar technologies.
8.1 Acceptable Use
Authors may use Gen-AI tools for:
- Language improvement and grammar checking
- Structuring sentences for clarity
- Editing for readability
8.2 Non-Acceptable Use
Gen-AI tools must not be used to:
- Generate substantial portions of the manuscript without critical human oversight
- Produce data, analysis, or results
- Replace original scholarly thinking and interpretation
8.3 Disclosure Requirement
Authors must disclose the use of Gen-AI in the manuscript, typically in the acknowledgment section, stating:
- The name of the tool used
- The purpose of its use
Example:
“Generative AI tools were used for language editing purposes only. All content and interpretations remain the responsibility of the authors.”
8.4 Authorship
- AI tools cannot be listed as authors
- Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of the manuscript
8.5 Accountability
The journal reserves the right to reject manuscripts where:
- AI use is not disclosed
- AI is used inappropriately
- Academic integrity is compromised
9. Final Remarks
Authors are strongly encouraged to carefully follow all guidelines before submission. Manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines may be returned without review.
