PENGUATAN NILAI-NILAI PENDIDIKAN MULTIKULTURAL DI PROGRAM STUDI TADRIS ILMU PENGETAHUAN SOSIAL FTIK IAIN PALU

Abstract

Multiculturalism is the wisdom to see cultural diversity as a fundamental reality in social life. Wisdom appearsimmediately, if one opens oneself to live a life together by seeing plural reality as a natural necessity of life, both inone's own multidimensional life and in the more complex life of society. The main problem of this research is how theperception of the lecturers of the Tadris IPS FTIK IAIN Palu Study Program regarding the strengthening ofmulticultural educational values in the Tadris IPS FTIK IAIN Palu Study Program, the method used in this is aqualitative approach, then to obtain data according to the problem, there are techniques which is done in data collectionthrough observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed that the IPS FTIK IAIN PaluTadris Study Program lecturers related to strengthening the values of multicultural education in the IPS FTIK IAIN PaluTadris Study Program, namely 1) all respondents agreed that they agreed on strengthening the values of multiculturaleducation in the IPS FTIK IAIN Palu Tadris Study Program, stated that strengthening the values of multiculturaleducation in the Social Sciences Tadris Study Program FTIK IAIN Palu should require a separate curriculum, 3) agreedon the need for special teaching materials to teach the values of multicultural education in the Social Sciences TadrisStudy Program FTIK IAIN Palu. Talking about the support for strengthening the values of multicultural education inthe Tadris IPS Study Program, FTIK IAIN Palu, the lecturer of the Tadris IPS FTIK IAIN Palu Study Program statedthat the strengthening of the values of multicultural education in the Tadris IPS Study Program FTIK IAIN Palu wasvery effective to implement, community support was not yet available. too effective, because some people do not fullyunderstand the nature and purpose of multicultural education, lecturers at the Social Sciences Tadris Study ProgramFTIK IAIN Palu stated that government policies strongly support the implementation of strengthening the values ofmulticultural education in the Social Sciences Tadris Study Program FTIK IAIN Palu.
